MY DC REVIEW PART 2

THE MORNING AFTER
So I called Marv’s room early that morning, since his phone was dead, to find out if he’d heard from Delta. He informed me that they’d delivered the bags and that I could come and pick it up. Finally, I thought, fresh clean clothes and sneakers! I finally had my BlackBerry travel charger, which I plugged up immediately. I had several missed calls including one from a number I was not familiar with. I called it back to find out it was recording artist Grafh from Queens. He’d got my number from Ashley Logan back in NYC. I asked where was he staying in DC. Come to find out he was staying at the same hotel one floor above me. Cool I said, we’ll link up for the face to face interview after breakfast. I changed clothes and headed out to meet with some friends for breakfast in China Town, which was just around the corner. China Town was an amazing spot with beautiful shops and restaurants. I chose a spot called Clyde’s, which was known for their breakfast. Once inside I took a poll for the presidency before being seated. Looking back now, everywhere I went polls indicating what later became true, A BLACK PRESIDENT.After breakfast I went back to the hotel to chill.

I text Grafh upon returning to the hotel to confirm the interview, to find out he was in the gym. I stopped on the second floor for a quick meeting before the interview. Grafh and his road manager were lifting as I entered. We shook hands and proceeded to chat about his background and current project so that I could get a clear visual of his personality. I wanted to shoot the interview up close and personal in the gym, but his road manager decided that we’d shoot it later. I told them that we’d link up later and headed to the room. I think I took a brief nap before getting ready to go to Howard University’s Homecoming.
