Dear Mr. Don Ghotti,

It has been brought to the attention of our record company that your personal/professional behavior poses a potential threat to other labels (major & independent), recording artist, management companies, as well as entertainment companies nationwide and abroad. This behavior must be addressed immediately. My administrative assistant has scheduled a meeting to discuss these and other issues.

The following items will be the topics of discussion during our Label meeting:

  • DISCOVERING musical talent in markets where A&R and /or artist management failed to search (i.e. under every freaking nook and cranny). Since coming aboard our label, you've signed three major recording artists in the last (12) months that will ultimately affect our competitors record sales long-term.
  • FEATURING recording artist from other markets with the intention of bridging the music gap across several music genres (i.e. HIP HOP, POP, & R&B).
  • REMIXING rather limited recording artist's records with the intention of enhancing their overall sound; hence RESTORING THE FEELING of when music was meaningful not to mention selling in larger quantities.
  • EXCLUSIVE PROMOS such as WHO the HELL is BISHOP CITY as seen on the website: www.myspace.com/bishopcity2u has music execs and insiders on the edge of their seats. This is the first FREE DOWNLOAD on MySpace released by any recording artist that is not only nurturing to the Urban Community, but positive, and does not contain an ADVISORY STICKER. Parents and their children can both cruise through their community while listening to the latest trend of REAL HIP HOP by recording artist BISHOP CITY.
  • RUNNING a "Triangle Offense" which consists of intense networking in the following major markets: LONDON, NYC, and ATL.
  • POCKETING every DJ in that "so called" triangle (LONDON, NYC, and ATL). Your influence on these DJs is beginning a new trend of spinning more meaningful records as opposed to the normal filtered ones.
  • STREAMLINING music distribution by selling digital records directly to the consumer; independent of all major music distributors. This process has created certain uneasiness in NYC at the majors.
  • ACTING as an ambassador to ATLANTA, GA while visiting different markets domestically and abroad.
  • APPEARING to be everywhere at once. Record execs and artist management feel as if you're utilizing multimedia facets for your personal gratification; exploiting your image for personal/professional gain.
  • PARADING around major markets driven in the finest European automobiles and staying at the most extravagant (5) Five Star hotels money can afford. Your lavish expenditures create large tax write offs for our company (smile).
  • ETC

Due to your unorthodox behavior, this recording company has been on a (24) twenty four hour watch by every record label (major & independent), recording artist, management company, as well as entertainment company domestic and abroad.

It is imperative that you alter your personal/professional behavior to avoid a potential music drought in the genres of HIP HOP, POP, and R&B. At this time no immediate actions are being taken against you, but you'll be under close monitoring by the hierarchy of this recording company.

A Concerned record executive,

Donald G. Pitts II
