MY FIRST LP - LA FAMILIA - PART III

ROCK STAR STATUS...eh?!
The After Parties were like the days of Motown, Uptown, & Bad Boy all wrapped up in one!!!
For Real.
I still lived with my parents during this so called "Rock Star" faze which meant they had to eye witness the tons of girls coming over, calling all times of night, their boyfriends calling threatening, Lol, and the fast living. I'd often tell my mom, who would often try to get to know these young ladies, "Ma...she's only around for a very short period of time so don't get too familiar with her." My mom and I were much like brother and sister that's why we'd argue all the freakin time about my life. I broke my curfew like often broke the speed limit in my Honda. My life was speeding down the fast lane of success. I had a great day job in the communication field, which was parallel with my music career. My album was coming along extremely well. I had a sweet ride (w/ 17" rims). I could have any chick I damn near wanted. By this time my dad built this little house behind our place....Oh Sh*tttt !!!!

My FIRST LP was about 90 percent done when I planned the CRAZIEST party of Summer of 2000!!! We recorded this record titled Macon it HOT which featured Carlito Valentine, my little brother (literally) SeDan D'Villain, Lil Rell, Eddie, Dominatra and of course me on the chorus. This was the first record I didn't write a verse for. Now that I think of it, I wrote every chorus which meant that I cornered the Publishing game early! :) We'd never performed this record before, and decided that this party would serve as a great way to break the record. This party was the second ALL YOU CAN EAT & DRINK in MACON, GA that was absolutely FREE!!!
Check the record books again. We'd rented this little club house on the north side of town at this gated apartment complex. I didn't live there, so I cut a side deal to get the place w/ this kid from my job named Jeremy. We also booked the illest DJ in Macon named DJ RUDE A. I completed the flyer and pressed an enormous amount to didtribute from my job in Warner Robins, while T distributed from Macon. We'd strategically invited every young lady in 5 counties from the age of 18 - 35. This was gonna be LARGE !!! Oh, why didn't we invite guys? We'll because we knew that the guys followed the ladies. True even Today.
IT'S PARTY TIME.
The day of the party, my flip Motorolla blew up like I was Sean John Combs when he was promoting an early Notorious B.I.G. for real. We'd had a master plan to DJ the party and do our own security from day one to cut cost. The day of the show I told the DJ that we had some ill sh*t come up with the budget and that he could either DJ for half or not at all. he was pissed because his name was all over the flyer and that he'd invited everyone he knew. THAT'S LIFE BIG HOMIE, I said while placing two Mixed CDs into the sound system. This was before promoters had formal agreements with DJs. He stuck around to enjoy the festivities though. I apologize DJ RUDE A.
Aight, aight, aight, it was the night of the show and I was Crazy nervous about the turn out. The Flyer stated 9pm until 12midnight. It was 9:35pm and there was only my crew there. The setting was fly as hell, the sound system was banging the latest from Outkast, Joe, Mystikal, Dru Hill, Jay-Z, etc. I was sweating because the location was so far out from the city and most of our people don't like to drive out so far to go party. Around I sayyyyyyyy 10:15pm the doors exploded with people. I was cheezing like a Phat Rat. :) The capacity was 175 people. We probably had about 250 people up in there. We mixed this Hunch Punch that included the following: 1 Pint Golden Grain, 3 Gallons Punch, Lemon juice, Gatorade, and everything else that we could grab in the fridge!!! Lomfao.

GANGLAND Now I'm a lover and not a fighter, but when I saw all of the Gangs that were in attendance, I was prepared to defend my investment. Even though the party was FREE to the patrons, they were paying me and my artist a ton of ATTENTION (wink)! Sooooooo...the moment of truth. The MACON it HOT show performance. We stopped the music and grabbed the mics and set the stage for the show. Most people were quite concerned because they were trying to grind on their homie or honey of choice. I appreciated the support of the crowd when I suggested that they grab another drink and listen to the Host pf the party, my group THE P.I.T.T.S. !!!
Well when the set started, I could remember thinking that we didn't have security because of budget, but oh what the hell. We started off w/ Interludes from the following: DMX (What these B*tches want), Cisqo (Thong song), Pastor Troy (We Ready), and D'Angelo (How does it Feel). Finally we jumped into the debut of MACON it HOT !!!! I will convert the VHS version into a Youtube, but until then believe me when I say that for the first time ever in Macon, Ga a Hip Hop Group by the name of P.I.T.T.S. rocked with people from 5 counties, girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, strippers, drug dealers, gangs from every side of town, etc without any fights or gun play!!!!
Due to the large capacity, the police was called and had to intervene and disperse the Extremely large crowd. The side effects of the party was a road block on both ends of the street in which some of my guest were given citations, warnings, and some even arrested. I formally apologize for the Macon Police. :( Some clown also boosted the sound system, but did it as our video faded to black...video COMING SOON!!!
